The movie season is upon us and this year's list of movies couldn't be any better. Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves is FINALLY making his return as the iconic 'Neo' in Matrix 4.

Titled Matrix: Resurrections, Village Roadshow Pictures, the production house behind the Matrix franchise, released a new teaser for the fans and well, let's just say, they sure would not be disappointed.

The one-and-a-half-minute-long teaser trailer begins with the display of the iconic green code on the screen with the narrator (sounds like Keanu himself) stating in the background, "This is the moment for you to show us what is real. Right now!"

The Matrix 4 teaser gives a trippy feeling as it shows actor Jonathan Groff (of The Mindhunter fame) before moving on to show Keanu's Neo character sporting long hair on a street, readying to fight against a large group of people, somewhat similar to the John Wick movies. The teaser then announces the release of the official trailer in a span of two days.

As much as we'd like a bigger scoop, this was something exciting in itself even if it came at the back of the teaser trailer that got leaked not so long ago. The fourth movie brings back Keanu alongside Carrie-Anne Moss in their roles of Neo and Trinity.

It also stars Jada Pinkett Smith, Jonathan Groff, Christina Ricci, Jessica Yu Li Henwick, and Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Earlier, Priyanka had taken to Instagram to announce the release date of Matrix 4, ahead of the launch of the official trailer on Thursday, September 9.

The post featured Matrix's two iconic red and blue pills, with the caption reading, "Yep! it’s almost time to take that pill... Trailer Thursday at 6 AM PT (6: 30pm IST). Go ahead and click the link in my bio to experience it yourself. The choice is yours!" If users click on either of the pills, it redirects them to two different realities.

If one clicks on the red pill, they come across a voiceover by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, where he says, "This is the moment for you to show us what is real but that couldn't be further from the truth. Could be this is the first day of the rest of your life but if you want it, you gotta fight for it."

On the other hand, if the user selects the blue pill, a voiceover by Neil Patrick Harris plays in the background where he says that 'one is having trouble distinguishing reality from fiction. Priyanka also went on to share a similar post on her Twitter handle as well.

Let's just say that, while we are excited to finally watch Matrix 4 in theatres this year, the idea of seeing Priyanka star alongside Keanu is truly remarkable. We CANNOT wait for this!
