Akshay Kumar's mother, Aruna Bhatia, breathed her last today, September 8. It’s never easy to deal with the loss of a close one, let alone your parent. Akshay was extremely close to his mother and with her bidding him final goodbye, he has been left completely heartbroken.

Aruna Bhatia was admitted to the hospital in critical condition. Today, Akshay shared the news of his mother's demise and wrote a heart-wrenching note, "She was my core. And today I feel an unbearable pain at the very core of my existence. My maa Smt Aruna Bhatia peacefully left this world today morning and got reunited with my dad in the other world. I respect your prayers as I and my family go through this period. Om Shanti.” 

Fans have been sharing their condolences with the actor and are paying their final respect to his mother. One of the fans wrote, “Megastar #AkshayKumar's Mom Smt #ArunaBhatia Ji is no more between us. Peacefully left this world today morning. Om Shanti. Stay strong @akshaykumar. She's seeing u from another world and having so much pride! Condolences to the family.”
