iPhone 13 Benchmark Results Are Out And It Puts Every Android Flagship Smartphone To Shame

Apple announced the latest iPhone 13 series earlier this week and now the benchmark results for the new smartphone are out. The new iPhone is powered by Apple’s latest silicon i.e. the A15 Bionic chipset that is said to be faster than any other mobile SoC in the market. The A15 Bionic chipset is Apple’s latest 5nm SoC with 15 billion transistors where it is powered by 2 high performance and 4 efficiency cores.

The top Android flagship smartphones of the year such as the ASUS ROG 5 scored 1112 (single-core) and 3703 (multi-core) in a simple Geekbench 5 test. The ASUS ROG 5 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 SoC which is currently the chipset most Android flagship smartphones use.

Now, the Geekbench 5 results for the iPhone 13 have surfaced online and it shows how powerful the new chipset really is. According to the results shared by IceUniverse, the iPhone 13’s A15 Bionic chipset scored 1734 (single-core) and 4818 (multi-core) on Geekbench 5. That’s considerably higher than any Android flagship smartphone that has launched this year. Apple promised a 30% performance and graphics improvement over its competition and it seems like the results back the company’s claims.

This does not come as a surprise though as Apple’s chipsets have been beating the best SoCs from the likes of Samsung and Qualcomm. Even last year, the iPhone 12 beat every Android device in benchmarks and performance by a huge margin and it seems the case remains the same with the iPhone 13 as well.

It’s also worth pointing out that Apple has not increased the onboard RAM on the iPhone 13 and it continues to be powered by 4GB of RAM. The iPhone 13 Pro gets a slight bump though as it currently has 6GB of RAM.

Apple tends to have faster and more efficient performing smartphones than its competition simply because of the software optimisations the company does. It’s no secret that Apple develops its silicon keeping iOS in mindand  that results in the most powerful and efficient smartphone of the year. Having said that, performance could be different in the real world and we can't wait to see how the iPhone 13 performs in real life.
