With the perks of the world of glamour and glitter, Bollywood celebs also have to face the dark side of the entertainment industry. If you are a public personality, there would be gossip mongers who will deep dive into your life to get some fodder for their social media pages. Not just the print and digital media, TV media also look for such meaty stories for their TRPs.

Some rumours are so bizarre that they can make even the celebs feel uncomfortable. Here are five such instances when Bollywood celebs opened up about the weirdest rumours about themselves.

Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh never fail to give us major BFF goals. It did sound off when theories started to float around in the entertainment circuit that they have had heated arguments on the sets of Gunday. In a report by Filmfare, Arjun is quoted saying, “It was said that I provoked Ranveer Singh on the set of Gunday and that we had a spat. It was believed that we didn’t see eye to eye with each other after a point in time.  And that the whole bromance was just a big drama, which we were putting out for the world.”

2. Alia Bhatt View this post on Instagram

It’s as bizarre as it can get. In the initial days of her career, rumour mills were abuzz with gossip about Alia Bhatt being the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt. In an interview with Filmfare, she'd said, “The most bizarre thing I read about myself was that I’m Mahesh Bhatt and Pooja Bhatt’s daughter. I was shocked and found it damn gross.”

3. Ayushmann Khurrana View this post on Instagram

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the few people in the industry whose name never pops up when gossip mongers are giving fuel to such baseless rumours. But, he too has a story to tell. In a report in Filmfare, Ayushmann is quoted saying, “When I was shooting for Bewakoofiyaan in 2013, a report said that I had died in a freak skiing accident in Switzerland. Ironically, I’ve never been to Switzerland, even though I’m managed by Yash Raj Films. I took this rumour sportingly but my family and friends were worried and clearly not amused.

4. Rajkummar Rao View this post on Instagram

Rajkummar Rao is one of the few grounded actors who knows the art of making people in his vicinity comfortable. In a report in Filmfare, Rajkummar was quoted saying, “Apparently, people believe I’m demanding on the set and that I ask to see the final cut of my films. It’s untrue. In fact, those close to me say that I’m the most chilled out on the set.”

5. Preity Zinta View this post on Instagram
