Addressing the media outside the accountability court after Dar?s hearing, Rehman said it is sad that the honourable judge of the Islamabad High Court dismissed [on Tuesday] Dar?s petition challenging the accountability court order without even issuing notices. ?He directed our lawyers that since the Supreme Court has sent the case to the trial court, any objections must be taken up with the apex court-appointed monitoring judge,? informed Rehman. She also chided the National Accountability Bureau for wasting paper, saying the 23-volume reference against the finance minister consists of 11 volumes of the Panama Joint Investigation Team report which contains merely 10 per cent material on Dar. ?NAB has wasted paper making photocopies of unrelated documents,? she said.

Anusha Rahman addressing media in Islamabad ISLAMABAD: PML-N leader and Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Anusha Rahman, has rubbished the report by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), labeling it ?trash? based on ?dishonesty?. Speaking to the media as the Supreme Court resumed hearing the Panama case on Wednesday, Rahman said the JIT?s findings were not final and questioned if another JIT would be formed to investigate the allegations against the existing JIT. ?The JIT report has lost its [standing] in front of the Supreme Court. It?s a trash basket and uses harsh, condescending language. Will [they] now form another JIT to investigate the allegations against this JIT,? she remarked. Claiming that the JIT went beyond its mandate, the PML-N leader alleged that the JIT members abused their authority. ?JIT members are government employees and abused their powers. The JIT chairman gave the nation?s money to his relative,? she said. ?The JIT presented Ishaq Dar?s statements and records in the wrong way. Nothing was presented regarding Prime Minister?s property,? she said, claiming that the trial against the PM was ?one-sided?. ?What kind of a JIT is this, that its report was made public and is even available on the internet?? she questioned. ?Nawaz Sharif is the Prime Minister now and will remain the Prime Minister tomorrow,? she added. As the Panama Papers case hearing went underway on Wednesday, the Supreme Court repeatedly inquired from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's counsel regarding the money trail of the London properties. ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for InformationTechnology and Telecommunication Anusha Rahman said on Saturday that Pakistan would become the first country in the world to test the 5G technology. The minister was addressing the in connection with the award of 4G spectrum license, where she expressed hope that Pakistan would soon acquire the technology. The 4G spectrum license was sold with the payment of $295 million. The ceremony was attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar. Rehman said the total amount of the auction had been deposited in the government's account. Anusha Rahman said the government would start preparations for the introduction of 5G in the country by 2021. She expressed hope that Pakistani people would adopt the new technology ahead of all other Asian countries. The minister also said the number of broadband users increased from 3.7million to 44 million during last four years.
