Kartik Aaryan was just like any other outsider looking for his place in the industry. 

He followed the conventional path and moved to Mumbai to pursue his dreams of acting. 

It wasn’t an overnight success as he had to face countless rejections, stay in rented accommodations with other flatmates and the likes during his days of struggle.

Kartik marked his debut with Luv Ranjan's Pyaar Ka Punchnama and he was stereotyped as a guy who can deliver monologues and do movies like the Punchnama series. 

He was even targeted for the apparent 'misogynistic' approach of the franchise. 

But, he also proved he can play a character with an emotional arch in movies like Love Aaj Kal, Silvat, and Akaash Vani. 

With his latest project Dhamaka, we got to meet a never-seen-before avatar of Kartik and he has successfully managed to prove that he is way more than just a boy-next-door. 

Kartik has a slew of movies lined up and recently reached Delhi to shoot for his upcoming film Shehzada.

As reported by Indianexpress.com, Shehzada is reportedly a remake of Allu Arjun's hit film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.  

Directed by Rohit Dhawan, Shehzada also features Kriti Sanon. The two stars had previously starred in Luka Chuppi.  

According to the latest developments, the first look of Kartik in his film has been leaked. 

Fan accounts of the actor have shared pictures of him sporting a basic white kurta from the sets. He is clutching a toothbrush and toothpaste in his hands. 

As per his fan accounts, the actor is filming near Jama Masjid in New Delhi. 

His look actually justifies the film’s tagline that says ‘Duniya ka Sabse Gareeb Prince (world’s poorest prince)’.

As per a report in Bollywood Hungama, Kartik has gone ahead with a staggering fee policy and he has charged Rs 21 crores for this movie.  

A source told the portal, “Kartik is slowly taking the stride to be among the top stars of the industry and his remuneration is the right indication of his rising popularity. The young dynamite has charged a huge sum of Rs. 21 crores for this action-comedy, which is his highest for a single theatrical film till date.” 

The source added, “Kartik is flexible to adjust his fees based on the genre and appeal of the film in the market. Since Sajid's film was required to be made within a certain budget, he was happy to cut down his fees. However, Shehzada is an outright commercial entertainer that can set the box office on fire, and hence, he went ahead with premium charges. The producers were more than happy to accommodate his request given his popularity.”

The film will be shot over various schedules in Mumbai and Delhi in the next several months, reportedly.
