Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were one of the most loved couples in Bollywood. Back when news of them dating came out, they had just worked together in Bachna Ae Haseeno and the love birds were all sort of ‘relationship goals’ for their fans. DP even went ahead and got a RK tattoo on the nape of her neck, professing her love.

Few years later many hearts were broken when the two broke up. While nothing was initially addressed, there were rumours of Ranbir cheating on Deepika and DP, on KWK made suggestive comments when asked about Ranbir, which further fuelled the reason for their break up.

Deepika often spoke about the anguish and the pain she had to deal with post the relationship ending. Much later, in a candid interview with Stardust magazine, Ranbir spoke about the break up. According to IB Times, he said, "Yes, I have cheated, out of immaturity, out of inexperience, out of taking advantage of certain temptations, out of callousness. You realise it now, when you grow up and you value it more, why be in a relationship, why be committed to someone when you cannot be committed?"

Deepika and Ranbir continue to share a warm friendship and have always been supportive of each other as well. Their fans loved their work in Tamasha and YJHD, and cannot wait to see them work together again.
