Last month, an Indian woman shared an anecdote on Twitter where she narrated how being from the country of Shah Rukh Khan helped her in a big way in Egypt. 

Now another such incident has gone viral on social media where Shah Rukh Khan apparently helped save an Indian YouTuber who was stuck in Syria. 

YouTuber Manoj Malhotra, who runs the YouTube channel Travelling Mantra, recently uploaded a vlog about his visit to war-torn Syria. 

In the video, he revealed that they were stopped at a checkpoint while exploring Syria and were interrogated for quite some time until the officials realised they are from India, 'the country of Shah Rukh Khan' and let them go.

He says, “Maaloula se nikalte hi humein ek aur checkpoint pe pakad liya tha. Aur kaafi der roke rakha. Uske baad fir Shah Rukh Khan ne chuda liya. (Soon after we left Maaloula, we were stopped at a checkpoint for some time. After that, Shah Rukh Khan saved us.)” 

His fellow traveller then added that he didn’t like Shah Rukh Khan earlier but is now his fan for life. While their driver added that people like Shah Rukh Khan here. 

The YouTuber then added, “Aaj se aapke fans sir Shah Rukh Khan ji hum. Aur aapki wajah se bahut jagah bach rahe hain bhai. Jo milta hai,’India, Bollywood, movie, Shah Rukh Khan?’ Shah Rukh Khan ki wajah se chodhe jaa rahe hain bhai hum toh Syria mein. (From today onwards we are your fans, sir. We have been saved at a lot of places because of you. Whenever we meet someone here and they realise we are from India, they talk about Bollywood, movies, Shah Rukh Khan and let us go. People here in Syria are letting us leave because of you.)”

This particular clip from the vlog has gone viral on social media and many people are now sharing it online.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming film reportedly titled Pathan. Besides that, he will be seen in Atlee’s Lion and a social comedy with Rajkumar Hirani.
