The historical drama starring Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn is running to packed houses and post Pushpa, opened bigger doors for pan India cinema consumption.  Jr NTR and Ram Charan are two of the biggest Tollywood superstars who hail from filmy families where cinema has been running through ages. During their interview with Film Companion, Anupama Chopra brought this up and Jr NTR was extremely honest in addressing the elephant in the room. “Two actors, coming from different families. I don’t know if I should say this or not, but there (have been) 30-35 odd years of rivalry between the families and today we’re doing this film. We are rivals, but we are friends too. So our rivalry is very positive” he said.

The two actors also spoke about how RRR is going to bring back the era of multi starrer movies ruling the screen. RRR has been getting raving reviews across the world and is not just a commercial success, but has also been critically approved by all. The story chronicles the journey of two Indian revolutionaries named Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem, who revolted against the British Raj and the Nizam of Hyderabad. It’s a fictional take set in the backdrop of the 1920s era.
