In times of online dating and where falling in or out of love comes so easily to millenials, can this generation break all the stereotypes and get entwined between being more than friends or being friends with benefits? Well, this Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer touches this sensitive issue with their upcoming movie ‘Half Girlfriend’. For those who have already read Chetan Bhagat’s novel, please do not give out any spoilers.

What happens when a small town Bihari boy, Madhav Jha falls in love with Ria Somani, a girl from Delhi, who is way out of his league? Can Madhav fit into Ria’s English speaking world? Can the two be more than friends but less than a girlfriend? All these aspects make for the ingredients of a great delicacy that will be served on our tables on May 19th. By the looks of the trailer, both Arjun and Shraddha have not disappointed us at all. Arjun perfectly plays the character of the small town boy and Shraddha was definitely at her sassiest best. Arijit Singh fans can rejoice too as the numbers he has crooned for this movie, are worth listening to the entire day in a loop.

Another best part about this movie is the supporting cast. At times they have actually outshone the lead actors. Mohit Suri’s directorial venture is the perfect amalgamation of romance, comedy and the pain that love brings with it.
