Using AirPods always comes with the general fear that one day it will slip out of your ear, fall to the ground and you'll end up losing them. AirPods are small, don't have anything to hold it together and losing them is far easier than finding Waldo.
Ever since we've been using AirPods since its release, there's always that fear that we might lose it while using it on a busy street or simply misplace them. That's exactly what Gabrielle Reilly feared and made her AirPods into something more useful than we ever expected. She modified her wireless earbuds into earrings so that she doesn't misplace them even when it falls out of her ear.
Gabrielle Reilly told BuzzFeed News, "I absolutely refuse to lose them. My cat ate through two pairs of Beats Bluetooth earphones, and all my other earphones. So I got the AirPods because there was no wire for her to chew, but I still needed something to connect them.”

Her AirPods are now more a pair of dangling earrings that ensures they are always safe and don't fall to the ground. She can pop them out from the earring whenever she wants to charge them or pop them into her ear whenever she wants to listen to something. Reilly has also created a chain necklace to connect the AirPods and is now selling on her website for others to take advantage of her creation. You can order different types of hoops and customers can even choose the length of the earring. These earrings are aptly named 'Airings' and cost $20.00 per pair.
Even though this may sound as bizarre as it could be, Reilly's earrings are nothing but ingenious. Maybe Apple could look into expanding into the jewellery department and sign her up for design ideas (Kidding).
