After the demise of fashion giant Karl Lagerfeld, all eyes are on his cat. The cat, a red-point Birman named 'Choupette', is all set to inherit a part of the designer's multi-million dollar fortune, that will probably make her the richest cat in the world.

Karl Lagerfeld, fashion visionary and the Creative Director of Chanel, passed away on 19th February, and his feline companion Choupette, whom he referred to as the heiress of his fortune, will inherit a part of it. Lagerfeld's net worth is an estimated 195 million dollars.

Not that Choupette needs the money, because she already lives an extremely lavish life and also is sort of a social media celebrity herself, with thousands of followers on Instagram and Twitter.

Choupette already has earned more than 3 million dollars herself, by doing high end modelling gigs. Depending on how much more money she inherits, she might overtake 'Blackie' as the richest pussycat in the world. (The record for being the richest cat in the world is currently held by a cat named Blackie, who inherited 7 million pounds from his British owner in 1988.)
