If the names Mufasa, Simba, or Timon, Pumba and Rafiki mean anything to you, or succeed in evoking a sense of deep-rooted belongingness and nostalgia, chances are that you were around during the golden era of kids entertainment that any millennial has had the luck of living through.
'The Lion King' happens to be one of the most incredible kids' movies ever and our childhood was made all the more memorable by Mufasa's kindness and playfulness, Rafiki's wisdom and great comic timing, as well as Timon and Pumba's crazy antics, besides a lot of other things!

The latest trailer of the film came out just hours ago, along with its first poster. One look at them will hit you with nostalgia from all sides! Yet, it is baby Simba's sneeze that wins it for us in this latest 1-minute trailer.
As the future king of the Pride Lands, it is Simba's innocence and bright-eyed wonder that keeps your eyes glued to the screen, and sends the little kid inside you into an excited frenzy.
The Disney classic is set to grace our screens again after almost 25 years, in a live action format, where prominent Hollywood actors will be heard lending their voice to our favourite characters.
The film shall have Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé as Nala, and James Earl Jones reprising his role as the glorious Mufasa.
As Rafiki hoists Simba up in the air in that classic shot over Pride Rock and presents the animals of the Pride Lands with their future king, we can almost hear baby Simba's adorable little “roar” when ganged up by Shenzi's company.
It's going to be quite a ride, and we suggest keeping those tissues handy when you watch it in the halls.
'The Lion King' releases on 19th July 2019.
