Netflix India Is lately expanding, with a lot of interesting regional content coming up for the audience. One such Marathi movie called '15th August' has already created a lot of buzz for its feel-good vibe and content. The trailer just came out and we have to say it's a breath of fresh air.
This 'slice-of-life' movie is based on the residents of the Gandhi 'chawl' in Mumbai where they are forced to come together on Independence Day due to certain situations that get them together. One story has a couple dealing with the dilemma of the guy and his commitment issue, the other parallel story is about a young boy's hand being stuck in a hole in the ground. All the mayhem and mess get the residents to get together and help each other. While doing so, they face some innocent questions about their own lives and face their own truths.
The movie is produced by actress Madhuri Dixit and her husband, Dr. Sriram Nene. You can stream it on Netflix from 29th March.
