Alright, I know the Galaxy Note 7 jokes are a thing of past now, but I couldn't help it. Samsung's subsidiary brand has made a flower vase that also doubles up as a fire extinguisher? Seriously, how can this not remind you about the Note 7 debacle?

Called 'Firevase', the vase essentially works as a fire extinguisher when you throw it at a fire. The outer chamber is filled with potassium carbonate that quickly cools and suppresses oxygen when the vase is thrown at the fire like, well, a grenade. Don't worry, it also has an inner chamber to hold water for your flowers, so it works fine both ways.

According to architecture and design magazine Dezeen, only 100,000 firevases were originally produced to promote the use of home fire extinguishers in South Korea, where having at least one home fire extinguisher per home is mandatory since 2017.
