Dhoni Wants To Be A Painter Once He Retires But We Feel He Is Trolling Us With These Paintings

We love Mahendra Singh Dhoni and if you have been a regular reader of our stories, you would have an idea about how much we love him. A lot. We love him a lot.

However, in this new video that surfaced online, Mahi takes some time off his busy cricketing schedule to share his plans after taking retirement from the cricketing world, which a lot of us are speculating to be immediately after the ICC World Cup 2019.

“I wanted to share a secret with all of you,” the former Indian captain said in the video footage. “Right from when I was a kid, I always wanted to become an artist.”

“I decided I have played a lot of cricket and it is time for me to take up what I really wanted to become so I started getting into painting,” he added.

As fans of whatever 'Captain Cool' says or does on the field, we are one hundred per cent behind Dhoni and wish all the success to his desire to turn painting into a career. Having said that, it is the next part of the video which makes us feel as if 'Thala' was trolling us.

I like Dhoni's helicopter shot most. But his paintings are good too.#WhyDhoniWhy pic.twitter.com/SGyWBA4sYo

While Dhoni shows a couple of his paintings which include sketches of a landscape, the kind we used to make in kindergarten, another one with a “futuristic aeroplane” from the year 2050 and finally a stick-figure self-portrait in his Chennai Super Kings jersey.

With the excitement of a 12-year-old, Dhoni continues to show one painting after another and it is the man's simplicity that wins our hearts every single time.

If the Indian wicket-keeper is serious about whatever he said in the video, then we are expecting a brilliant art exhibition sometime in the future which would consist of every idea or emotion the cricketer wanted to express through colours and surely, it will be a sight for sore eyes.

Dhoni also invites the “art community” to have a look at whatever he has created till date and is open to suggestions and advice with regards to helping him better his craft.

Did we mention how much we love MS Dhoni?
