When it comes to trainers and sneakers, our Bollywood stars are playing in a league of their own. Be it Ranveer Singh's electric blue, oversized tracksuits, or Ranbir Kapoor's '50s ensemble, our favourite stars do know how to make cool, suave and bold fashion statements.

Shahid Kapoor, on the other hand, with his understated fashion statements, gets to be the perfect style icon for men with a subtle fashion sense.

At the launch of the music release for his upcoming film, 'Kabir Singh', Shahid not only showed us how to pull off a bomber jacket in the middle of a Mumbai summer, he also gave us lessons on how a pair of seemingly plain and simple trainers can elevate an entire outfit, all the while standing out in their own way.

The trainer, a Jimmy Choo Raine M, a white and suede leather sneaker, which will set you back by roughly Rs 48,000, has a very '90s look. The beige highlights accentuate the sneakers in a very subtle, and yet extremely fashionable manner.

As for the construction of the sneaker, the break between the toe vamp and the eye stay, which submerges with the tongue of the sneaker gives it a very retro and subtle look.

As far as the outfit that he chose to pair it with, the navy blue bomber jacket, along with the simple and plain black long sleeved tee, and olive joggers were quintessential Shahid. The overtly large pockets on the bomber jacket made a dramatic statement, and further added to his look.

This stands remarkably different as to the gruff and edgy character that Kapoor is playing in Kabir Singh. Whereas the titular character is styled in an overtly aggressive manner in the film, with or without the beard, Kapoor usually tends to carry a sweet, chocolate boy image through his outfits and appearance. For an actor of his calibre though, this isn't really surprising.

Earlier, Shahid stepped out in a really, futuristic looking pair of sneakers from Dolce & Gabbana.
