Shahid Kapoor's 1st Look As A Cricketer For Remake Of 'Jersey' Is Out & Fans Expect Another Hit

After rocking the industry with his smash-hit movie, Kabir Singh, Shahid Kapoor is set to make a comeback soon as he will be seen stepping into the shoes of a cricketer in the Hindi remake of the hit Telugu film Jersey.

The film will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who was also the director of the Telugu version of the film. 

The original film starred noted actor Nani.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to share the first look and wrote, “Shahid Kapoor begins prep for the role of a cricketer in the #Hindi remake of #Telugu film #Jersey... The #Hindi version will be directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, who also helmed the original #Telugu version, starring Nani... 28 Aug 2020 release.”

In the picture, you can see Shahid in flannels and a headband as he holds a cricket bat.

As the first picture of the actor as a cricketer is out now, fans are excited to see him nail this character as well and are confident that he will do justice to the role.

Talking about the film, Shahid told IANS, “It took me some time to decide what to do next after Kabir Singh. But the minute I saw Jersey, I knew I wanted it to be my next. It is a wonderful, inspiring and a personal human journey that I connected with deeply.”
