New rumours surrounding the OnePlus 8 are already hitting the internet and a new leak suggests that the display for the pro variant is going to get a major upgrade. Currently, the OnePlus 7T series and the OnePlus 7 Pro both come with a 90Hz refresh rate display and the company has already confirmed future OnePlus phones will have at least a 90Hz display. However, the new rumour suggests that the OnePlus 8 Pro will come with a 120Hz display.

This is not the first time we're seeing a smartphone that comes with a 120Hz display as it is already present on a number of gaming smartphones. The ASUS ROG II phone is the latest device that comes with a 120Hz display that helps out users in gaming. Having said that, if this rumour (via PhoneArena) is true, the OnePlus 8 Pro will be the first non-gaming smartphone that will come with a 120Hz display.

The rumours come from tipster Max J who revealed via Twitter that the pro variant will come with the 120Hz display while the OnePlus 8 will launch with a 90Hz display. This rumour seems quite believable especially since most smartphones are expected to come with a 90Hz display nowadays.

OnePlus 8 rumours have been floating for a while and one of them suggests that OnePlus is going to ditch the pop-up selfie camera system and instead opt for a hole-punch camera on the screen. These are based on CAD-bases renders that were shared by renowned tipster @OnLeaks. The OnePlus 8 Pro is expected to come with a triple camera setup, a 3D ToF sensor and a 6.65-inch display.
