GOT's Hound Was Homeless & Stealing Food Before Becoming A Star & His Life's A Lesson In Hard Work

When a certain actor reaches a certain stage of fame where the world recognises their talent and acting, it's almost impossible to imagine that they might have struggled harder than a common man. Actor Rory McCann, who gained massive stardom as the Hound on Game Of Thrones and was one of the only few characters who made it to all the eight seasons has a story of struggle and hard work that can have a movie of its own.

The cathartic release came for fans when the much anticipated 'Clegane Bowl' happened in the finale and his character was killed by his brother. However, before this insane amount of love and fame came his way, Rory was living a rather tough life. In a recent interview, he revealed what life was before the biggest show in the history of television happened to him. He was a homeless man living in a tent and stealing food to make ends meet back in Iceland. “Two years ago I was in a tent – literally in a tent – stealing food occasionally. Eventually I got a job and sorted myself out, but then suddenly I'm getting driven around in a nice car in the biggest and best show in the world; just shows how your fortunes can change. Amazing”, he exclaimed. This interview was a part of a GOT reunion special which will be available as a part of a DVD edition of the show.

He might not be the King in the North but to his fans, this 50-year-old actor is a true example of what it means to be the king of working hard.
