Sanjay Dutt Opens Up About His Horrifying Drug Addiction Experience In This Throwback Video


Actor Sanjay Duttâs past addiction to drugs is no secret and he has never shied away from spilling out the beans about his experiences. Currently, his throwback video from one of the events on awareness about drug addiction is doing the rounds on the internet. It was a campaign called âDrug Free Indiaâ and in that, the actor shared how he was almost on the verge of dying while he was on drugs. The 60-year-old actor was all praise for his father, actor Sunil Dutt, saying that it was largely due to him that his addiction was identified and consequently subjected to treatment.  Addressing a large young crowd, he shared an anecdote from his past experience where he said that he had realised he needed help when he saw himself bleeding from his nose and mouth. He said that this happened after he slept for two days straight without even being aware of it.

"It was one morning, I woke up and I was very hungry. My mother had already passed away that time, and I asked my house help to give me food. He then told me that I had not eaten since the last two days as I kept sleeping. When I saw myself in the bathroom, I was on the verge of dying. I was bleeding from my nose and mouth. This made me scared, and went to my father seeking help," the actor said at the event.

The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Sanju, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, was made on his life that showed similar sequences while narrating the part of his struggle to get rid of the drug addiction. It is not everyday that we see a celebrity talk about things and failures in life which can inspire anyone to not give up a fight.
