Irrfan Khans Son Shares Unseen Video Of The Actor Playing With A Cat & We Cant Handle The Feels

As the world marks 11 days gone by since maverick actor Irrfan Khanâs tragic passing, his son Babil has been sharing loads of unseen glimpses of the legendâs quieter, more private moments at home - including one, in particular, thatâs just way too cute.

Shot in monochrome, the post opens with an image of Khan sitting on a sofa at home while playing with a friendly feline companion - followed by a video of the cat cosying up to the actor.

Along with several messages commenting on how adorable the video was, several fans thanked Bilal for opening a window into the life of their now-late idol, expressing how they rewatched classic Irrfan masterpieces such as The Lunchbox and Angrezi Medium in honour of his passing.

Irrfanâs death came on the 29th of April after a long, two-year battle with a neuroendocrine tumour.

Recently, Babil had also posted the following video, where his father was seen swimming in a pond while on set.

Actor Vipin Sharma had written, âIrrfan loved swimming. We were together in Filmcity long ago during the shooting of Discovery of India. There was a small pond. Irrfan jumped right in and swam while I sat outside and chatted with him.â

Upon the actorâs death, Irrfanâs wife Sutapa Sikdar and sons Babil and Ayaan issued a family statement, saying, âHow can I write this as a family statement when the whole world is taking it as a personal loss? How can I begin to feel alone when millions are grieving with us at the moment? I want to assure everyone that this is not a loss, it is a gain. Itâs a gain of the things he taught us, and now we shall finally begin to truly implement it and evolve.â

Some of Babilâs throwbacks go way into Irrfanâs past - such as these incredible shots from Irrfanâs stint in the National School of Drama back in the 1980s.

Others were just simple moments of Irrfan enjoying a bit of pani-puri while getting off an arduous shoot-schedule diet.

Itâs brought a smile to many fans - several of whom have been mourning this great loss to Indian cinema alongside the subsequent death of Rishi Kapoor.
