Selecting a hairstyle, visiting your local barber, instructing him on how to give you a particular hairstyle, inspecting his work and adjusting a few snips here and there in order to get a good haircut can be a task.

Naturally, not all men actually like investing the time and money that a good hairstyle requires.

Then there is the entire fiasco that maintaining such a hairstyle becomes.
Wouldn’t it be just better if we could cut our hair at our homes and still look dapper AF? Isn’t this what the lockdown and the pandemic have taught us?

Therefore, we thought of a few basic, but stylish hairstyles that men can get on their own. Even if you choose to get these done at your local barber, these hairstyles take the least amount of time, and effort to maintain.

First & foremost, is the clean-shaven look or going completely bald. This is definitely something that you can try at home.
As far as maintenance is concerned, well, there isn’t any. All you need to do is shave off your head once every two or three weeks, and oil your head every two or three days, that’s it.

If you want to keep some hair, and not go completely bald, how about a basic buzz cut? If you have a trimmer, you can get this done on your own, at your home.
As far as maintenance is concerned, again, all you need to is simply oil your hair once a week.
3. Slick-Back Hair

If you are someone who wants to keep his hair long, try to go for the slick-back. You simply wet your hair and tightly comb it backwards. This is perfect if you have somewhat longish hair, which does not yet go below your ears.
You’ll need to invest in a good hair wax, and apply it almost daily, but that’s about it, as far as maintenance is concerned. Also, ensure that you visit your barber every 3-4 months to get a basic trimming when the hair starts getting a little unruly.
4. Man Bun

If you have started loving your long hair that you must have grown during the lockdown, we seriously suggest you to consider going for a man bun. There are a ton of options to choose from.
As for maintenance, all you need to do is a basic oil massage, coupled with regular shampooing. Oh yes, and comb your hair regularly, to keep it untangled.
5. Shaggy Curls

This one is particularly good if you have long and curly hair. Just let your hair grow out and keep it untangled. Do keep in mind that you’ll have to shampoo and massage your hair once every week. That’s all the maintenance that it needs.

If Vicky Kaushal can get a low maintenance and easy-to-create hairstyle at home, so can you.
Simply trim off the sides and some from the back using a trimmer, and keep your hair longer at the top. Oil and shampoo as you would and you’re good to go.
