5 Indian TV Shows That Were Inspired By Bollywood Movies & Turned Out To Be Total Disasters

Just like filmmakers are copying film plots due to lack of ideas, a lot of TV shows are also inspired by Bollywood films. Honestly, none of these shows impressed the audience and only managed to bore everyone to death.

So, here is a list of Indian TV Shows that were inspired by Bollywood movies and turned out to be total disasters-

Love You Zindagi - Inspired from Jab We Met

Geet from Jab We Met is iconic and no one else except Kareena Kapoor could have done justice to Geet’s character. However, the daily soap Love You Zindagi was loosely inspired from Imtiaz Ali’s film and the show grabbed some attention of the audience for a few days but wasn’t nearly as good as the film.

Badho Bahu - Inspired from Dum Laga Ke Haisha

The serial is based on the super hit film Dum Laga Ke Haisha and not just the storyline of the serial but even the poster of the show was also inspired by the film. The daily soap starred Prince Narula and Rytasha Rathore in the lead roles.

Dil Se Dil Tak - Inspired from Chori Chori Chupke Chupke

The show is a copy of 2001 hit film Chori Chori Chupke Chupke and starred Sidharth Shukla, Rashami Desai and Jasmine Bhasin in the lead role. The plot of the show revolves around surrogacy and is almost exactly like the film.

Do Hanson Ka Joda - Inspired from Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi

Shaleen Bhanot’s character and looks bore striking similarities to Shah Rukh Khan’s character in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. However, Shaleen denied that the plot was the same. In all honesty, we haven’t watched the serial, but to go by the poster of the serial, it’s a clear giveaway that the serial is loosely inspired by the movie.

Shaleen Bhanot’s character looks very similar to SRK’s character in Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi but besides that there aren’t many similarities in the plot of the show.

Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil – Inspired from Pardes

The story was based on the Bollywood Blockbuster Pardes and the show starred popular TV actors, Drashti Dhami and Arjun Bijlani. The show was also shot in exclusive locations like Vienna and Innsbruck. However, the show didn’t impress the audience at all.
