6 Bollywood Movies That Will Be Re-Released As Theatres Open This Week & People Aren’t Happy

As the country limps back to normalcy, the government has decided to re-open theatres after being shut for more than six months. The Government of India issued new guidelines for 're-opening' of cinema halls/multiplexes. And the list of Bollywood movies which will be releasing this week has also been announced.

Taran Adarsh tweeted the official announcement of these six Bollywood movies, all of which will be re-releasing.

As cinemas ready to reopen their doors from this week onwards, the list of #Hindi films scheduled for re-release this week is OFFICIALLY announced...

Here's more about the six movies that will be re-releasing in the theatres this week.

1.  Tanhaji : The Unsung Warrior

Helmed by Om Raut, the film pays tribute to the unsung hero Tanaji Malusare who fought alongside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as a military leader in the Maratha army. Ajay Devgn plays Tanaji Malusare while Kajol is seen as his wife Savitribai Malusare. Saif Ali Khan makes for a daunting antagonist as Udaybhan Singh Rathore.

2. Kedarnath

Kedarnath is a love story of a Hindu tourist played by Sara Ali Khan and a Muslim porter (pithoo) played by Sushant Singh Rajput. The film is set in the backdrop of the devastating Uttarakhand floods that took several thousand lives in 2013.

3. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

In Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan, Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar had teamed up to address the issue of homosexuality in a light-hearted, humourous way.

4. Thappad

The movie raised the burning question of how important a woman’s self-respect is and Taapsee Pannu had done a brilliant job in portraying the protagonist who’s not ready to give in to age-old practices of ‘adjust karna padta hai’ culture.

5. Malang

Malang, directed by Mohit Suri is a crime thriller featuring Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani as serial killers, while Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemmu play cops.

6. PM Narendra Modi

The film brings to screen the journey of PM Narendra Modi — from a chaiwala at a railway station to finally becoming the leader of the world’s largest democracy.

People aren’t very pleased with the decision of re-releasing these films however, and they are also upset with how Sushant Singh Rajput’s Kedarnath is being used to lure people into coming to theatres.

Don't make #Bollywood money.. Still they to earn by selling SSR name.. #BoycottBollywoodAe oh Jinone #SSR ko kaha chote shahar ka log bare shapne nehi dekhte.. #BoycottBollywoodGodfather #WhoMadeBollywoodGodfather #BoycottBollywood #JusticeForSSR pic.twitter.com/KN5xvkQM5q

#Kedarnath was intentionally destroyed and removed from theatres despite it doing so well at box office,to give screens to Mafia films #Zero and #Simbba!! Now they are milking #SushantSinghRajput film to gain back audience! Audience be smart please #Bollywood #Justice4SSR

Sahi kaha ....Will that profit go towards charity...The answer is a big no ...So why fill Producers' pockets ? We will better use that money to fulfill SSR's dreams .Plant a tree ..Help a poor.

Wow Why Kedarnath?
No one wants to miss a chance of making money in the name of Sushant.
I don't know if the concept of soul is real or myth but if it's real then I feel pity for his soul that it hasn't got any Peace until now.
Everyone's just using him be it fans or whoever.
