If you were wondering why YouTube wasn’t working on your phone, you weren’t the only one as the popular video hosting website faced a global outage this morning. In fact, many YouTube bingers including myself had nothing to do while the website and the app were down. It prevented me from watching my favourite YouTubers for about an hour or so.

In fact, if people were already watching videos during the outage, those videos would run on an infinite loop for a while and refreshing the website did not help. The outage not only affected YouTube, it also affected other servers such as YouTube Music and YouTube TV in markets where it is available. YouTube took to Twitter to officially acknowledge the outage stating

“If you’re having trouble watching videos on YouTube right now, you’re not alone – our team is aware of the issue and working on a fix. We’ll follow up here with any updates.”

Since the world faced the same outage, users reacted to the downtime with memes of their own on Twitter, Many shared memes, GIFs about how they had nothing to do now that YouTube was down. Here are some of the best reactions we could find:
