When it comes to fashion trends, some of them often get repeated and one of the ultimate sartorial gaffe, which was sandals worn with socks, made a resurgence in September 2020. The pairing can look daunting, but the timing of the trend, which is making a comeback couldn't have been better, since we are home amidst the pandemic.

And, naturally, after this trend made a massive comeback, celebrities and A-listers followed suit and started experimenting with different combinations. One such celebrity to have taken it up a notch recently is Kunal Kemmu. To tell you the fact, Kunal is actually a massive sneakerhead and he recently grabbed our attention, wearing sneakers with extra-wide sole, inspired by Spider-Man. Although he normally associates himself with OTT sneakers, this time, his recent style trial made us sit up.

Kunal, here, looks on-point. The black, round neck T-shirt teamed with black joggers, is a perfect monochromatic, relaxed ensemble. To make it a bit more striking, we like how he has combined a black and blue sporty watch here. That, with a quirky, floral printed mask subtly finished his look.

But, we aren't applauding him for the outfit he wore, but what he chose to wear as his footwear. While most people would dread to combine their chappals with socks, Kunal here, like a woke fashionista, has dared to couple such a tricky trend and we have to say, he aced it. The sock-sandals or sock-chappals journey has never been an easy one, but when done right, it can look effortlessly cool. Kunal's choice of wearing black velcro chappals with 'Netflix' bright blue socks added a fun twist to his monochromatic look. Brightly coloured socks pop out, when paired with neutral coloured sandals and Kunal here has scored brownie points for that.

It's not just Kunal but many other celebrities, including David Beckham, Kanye West etc have turned to this trend and have shown how easy and practical it can look.

In all, while we missed seeing Kunal flaunting his zany pair of sneakers, this new style experiment has certainly struck a chord with us.
