The OnePlus 9 launch is not going to happen anytime soon but that does not mean the upcoming smartphone won’t leak ahead of time. Images published by PhoneArena show off the design of the upcoming phone and what we can expect next from OnePlus. These images are apparently of a prototype device that comes with the official branding and even a glimpse into the software.

This particular prototype is also powered by the Snapdragon 888 processor which will be the flagship chipset for Android smartphones in 2021. The phone will also have 5G connectivity similar to the OnePlus 8 Series. The new prototype also shows new branding on the camera module where it clearly says “Ultrashot.” This new feature might be similar to what Samsung does with its flagship phones with a feature called the “Top Shot.” The camera specifications were not detailed but the rear camera is expected to have a primary wide lens and an ultra-wide lens. The third lens could be a depth-sensing sensor or a macro lens, however that remains unclear.
