The International Cricket Council (ICC) recently announced honorary lists of players to form the 'Team of the Decade’ in all three formats of the game, namely ODIs, T20Is and International Tests and the members of the Indian cricket team dominated the men’s category.

What made the lists even more special was the fact that all three ‘teams’ were captained by Indian cricketers as well. Recently retired Mahendra Singh Dhoni was recognised as the captain of the ODI and T20I teams while Virat Kohli was given the charge of the Test squad.

Indian white-ball deputy in-charge Rohit Sharma too made it to the two limited-overs teams while yorker specialist also made the cut for the shortest format of the game.

In the red-ball cricket team, Kohli was joined by all-rounder Ravichandran Ashwin from India.

It was however rather surprising to see that none of the cricketers from Pakistan made it to the Top 11 players in any of the formats on the game, including legends like Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq, who hung their boots three years ago.
