The film industry lost legendary actor Irrfan Khan last year. Now, the International Film Festival of India of India (IFFI) paid a tribute to the late actor by screening his film Paan Singh Tomar at the event. His wife Sutapa Sikdar and Son Babil Khan attended the event.
Just after the screening of the film, Sutapa was called on stage and she gave an extremely touching and extremely emotional speech. She also recalled many fond memories with her husband and also expressed how she has come out of the home since Irrfan’s demise.

I'm happy to be here, this is the first time I've come out of the home. But one needs closures to walk ahead, and IFFI is a closure. IFFI couldn't have chosen a better film, because this film talks about a race," she added, quoting a line from the film about completing races, regardless of winning or losing. "Irrfan's finish line came too soon, but he played well. We're proud of you, Irrfan.”
His son Babil also shared a picture from a screening of the movie and wrote, “Today, I need to share this as @iffigoa made it possible to watch and hear him on the big screen one more time, that to in Paan Singh Tomar. (This man exuded a younger energy than me in his late 40s even)”

In the video you can see Irrfan recording a video, while Sutapa joined thinking he was on a video call with Babil. Ayaan can be seen getting nervous as Irrfan Khan is recording a message for his son.
Irrfan was battling a neuroendocrine tumor for the past two years and succumbed to Colon infection on April 29, 2020. He was last seen in Angrezi Medium co-starring Radhika Madan in the lead role.
