Sidharth’s ‘Driving’ Sneakers Worth Rs 70,000 Are One Of The Coolest Pairs We’ve Seen This Year

Sidharth Malhotra has a rather understated sense of style

Clean pieces, clean colours, functional aesthetics - the man has shown us time and again, how to dress with effect, without going overboard.

That is why, whenever he wears something very quirky and zany, people notice.

Well, he did something along those lines, very recently.

Sidharth Malhotra was recently spotted at the Mumbai Airport wearing a rather dope looking pair of sneakers that looked like they were inspired by the racing shoes Formula 1 racers wear.

But first, let’s have a look at his outfit.

Sidharth was wearing a very classy looking monochrome outfit. The black technical joggers, with its huge pockets, and zippers, and that basic black T-shirt, do make a nice pairing.

Along with that, Sidharth was also wearing a rather sick looking faux leather, dual-toned jacket. This made a rather dope looking biker aesthetic if you ask us.

We also like the polka dot mask and the round-rimmed sunglasses that Sidharth had on as accessories.

Coming to the sneakers that he was wearing, well, they were a masterpiece. Sidharth was seen here wearing the Screener High Top Sneakers In Black from Gucci.

The sneakers were apparently modelled to look like the racing boots that are used by Formula 1 Drivers and share the same silhouette as them.

The sneakers are actually made to look a little dirty, with soiled leather patches and blotches applied here and there to give it a more rugged and tough appeal.

The black and grey leather used to make the sneakers have also been specially treated and distressed to give it a worn-out look.

Because the sneakers are primarily black, it does not appear clearly, but they are supposed to be one of the ‘dirtiest’ pairs of sneakers that Gucci makes.

Dirty sneakers have been a popular choice among sneakerheads, and even major high fashion brands are getting in on the trend.

Well, like all Gucci items, these sneakers are also insanely expensive. In fact, it would actually be cheaper to buy the top model of the latest iPhone, than to buy and import a pair of these sneakers to India.

The Screener High Top Sneakers used to retail for $900, or roughly Rs 70,000. Add to that your regular import and customs duties that are levied on luxury leather goods and you’re looking at a price tag that is north of Rs 1.25 Lakhs.

Now, that shows that Sidharth is a man of taste. And might we just add, it was actually a splendid choice? Well done, man. Way to go.
