Have you been betrayed by a franchise by a mobile game that you thought might be as good as the movies, TV shows or even console version game of a franchise? Well, we decided to list some of the most hated mobile games that come from respected franchises. There are plenty of games that can be classified as a blatant cash grab or not up to the standards of the franchise that you can find on the app store. Here are some of the most disappointing and hated games that come from respected franchises:
1. Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery© Warner Brothers
Harry Potter fans are some of the most passionate audiences you will find for any audience. There’s no doubt somebody would eventually try to make the most of it by launching a crappy cash grab game for mobile and ‘Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery’ fits the bill. In fact, it is one of the worst games on this list as it features very slow gameplay, too many in-app purchases and a poor attempt at a mobile RPG. This game pissed off many Harry Potter fans who were probably looking for a full experience similar to games that were released on the Nintendo Gameboy.

Forza, the highly acclaimed racing series for the PC and Xbox consoles got itself a mobile game that left many people disappointed. In fact, this game may have tainted the franchise a bit as it did not feature any of the features that made the main series of games a great success. In fact, many consider Forza Street a stain on the name of the series.

The Diablo franchise has one of the most loyal fan bases who were met with a massive surprise when Blizzard announced a new Diablo game. However, this game is meant for mobiles where you can replicate the dungeon crawling experience but still miss the main game for a lack of few features. In fact, Diablo fans felt betrayed when it was first announced on stage to which a fan reacted with “Is this an out-of-season April Fool’s Joke.”

Elder Scrolls as a franchise has left the fan base quite frustrated as it has been ten years since we last saw a main Elder Scrolls game. However, fans were met with much disappointment when they learnt the next major instalment in the series will come in the form of a mobile game. Elder Scroll: Blades may not be as bad as the other games on the list but it did not quench the thirst of players who wanted a full RPG experience. Since the game does not offer any memorable characters or a decent narrative, the game failed to impress the fan base.
