The First R-Rated Trailer Of ‘The Suicide Squad’ Looks Awesome & We're Buckled Up For This One

James Gunn and Warner Bros. have finally released the first, R-rated trailer for The Suicide Squad on Friday. And the film’s trailer doesn’t fall short of the bad behavior vibe.

We can’t figure out the main story yet, but the trailer opens with a mission to rescue Margot Robbie who plays Harley Quinn which wasn’t necessary in the first place as Harley rescues herself out of the situation she was in.

It was also revealed that Sylvester Stallone is providing the voice for King Shark, who is the man with a shark head. The trailer also showcases a giant and colorful starfish Kaiju who begins to destroy things.

Checkout the trailer here-

Our first trailer. Warning: gore & adult language & supervillains & adventure & heart. Can't wait to see it in a theater with all of you on August 6. #TheSuicideSquad pic.twitter.com/HdqlGVP0lB

The film is a sideways sequel to the 2016 film Suicide Squad. Many stars who were in the first part are still part of the sequel including Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Joel Kinnaman as Rick Flag, and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang.

The new characters include Bloodsport, Peacemaker, The Thinker, Blackguard, Polka-Dot Man, Savant, Arm-Fall-Off-Boy, Ratcatcher, King Shark, Weasel, The Javelin and others played by Idris Elba, John Cena, Peter Capaldi, David Dastmalchian, Michael Rooker, Nathan Fillion, Daniela Melchior, Steve Agee, Sean Gunn and Flula Borg, respectively.

Gunn also revealed that his film’s story is not a reboot of the original movie.

Not to forget, the cherry on top - so many new characters from the world of DC comic supervillains who are all set to save the world after their incarceration.

Here’s what people have to say about the brilliant trailer-

DC is finally learning to give auteurs the creative latitude to make a movie their own. I couldn’t be happier. Your fingerprints are all over the art, and as a fan of your work, I couldn’t be more excited to see the final film. Was Peter Capaldi as much fun to direct as it seems?
