With the Pandemic life ensuring that our memories of watching a movie in a theatre stay in oblivion, the only source of entertainment is the magic of OTT. Thanks to so much content being churned out every month, watching a new release from the comfort of your home is a blessing indeed. Here are some must-watch new releases which should totally be on your list this month:
Bringing the magic of Mani Ratnam and Jayendra Panchapakesan together, this Tamil anthology series is going to be a huge leap in terms of regional OTT entertainment. The nine part film will explicitly explore the concept of the nine human emotions, which are - anger, compassion, courage, disgust, fear, laughter, love, peace and wonder. The movie releases on Netflix on 6th August.
2. Top Secret UFO Projects DeclassifiedDo aliens exist or they already live amongst us? This extremely intriguing series poses and attempts to decode some questions for science lovers. Make sure to catch it on 3rd August.
3. Dial 100Based on Halle Berryβs Thriller The Call, this psychological thriller stars Manoj Bajpayee, Sakshi Tanwar and Neena Gupta in the lead roles. Manoj plays a cop who gets a call from a lady and everything changes after that. Unravel the mystery on Zee5 on 6th August .
4. ShershaahThis much-awaited movie based on the life of Kargil hero Captain Vikram Batra has Sidharth Malhotra playing the lead role. The war hero was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously and played a pivotal role in Indiaβs win against Pakistan during the Kargil war of 1999. The movie releases on 12th August on Prime Video.
5. KuruthiPrithviraj Sukumar turns producer in this Tamil thriller which looks absolutely very exciting from the teaser. Catch it on Prime Video on 11th August.
6. Modern Love Season 2This anthology based on a NY Times column was such a big hit, that it is only fair for the second season to return and put us in a puddle of emotions all over again! The second season releases on 13th August on Prime Video, so be ready for some heart melting nights.
7. Bhuj: The Pride Of IndiaAnother war movie which will have Ajay Devgn don the role of Squadron leader Vijay Karnik, who rebuilt the Bhuj strip along with 300 women from a neighbouring village and contributed towards India fighting the 1971 war with Pakistan. The movie releases on 13th August on Disney+ Hotstar.
