India slept like a baby last night after Neeraj Chopra's win at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. He made history after winning the first-ever gold medal in athletics, and he put an end to the country's long wait of bringing home GOLD. Chopra's throw at the games was quite impressive. While the first throw was 87.03, he did well in his second attempt with an 87.58m throw. That was the moment the country knew the gold was coming home.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India made a big announcement on Saturday. It has promised a whopping cash prize for the winner. He will be rewarded Rs 1 Crore for the historic win. Even other medalists like Mirabai Chanu, Ravi Dahiya, PV Sindhu, Lovlina Borgohain and Bajrang Punia will be given a cash prize. Even the Indian men's hockey team will be rewarded with Rs 1.25 Crore.

On Saturday, a Twitter user tagged Anand Mahindra and asked him to gift a car to Neeraj Chopra. Mahindra happily agreed and asked the team to keep the brand new XUV 700 ready for the gold medalist.

IPL, Chennai Super Kings, too, has come forward to pamper Neeraj with a special reward worth Rs 1 Crore. The MS Dhoni-led franchise announced it on Friday and said in a statement, "As a mark of appreciation and honour on his stellar achievement, CSK is awarding Rs. 1 Crore to Neeraj Chopra."
6. Haryana Government

One of the generous rewards has come from the Haryana government. Neeraj will be given a cash prize of Rs 6 Crore along with a Class-I government job. He will also receive a plot at a 50% concession rate, wherever he likes in Haryana.
