Rajkummar Rao ventured into Bollywood with Love *** Aur Dhokha, and within no time, he became one of the finest actors in the industry. 

Of course, he had his share of ups and downs, but he never let that affect his career. 

The actor recently turned 37, and on the occasion of his birthday, we're sharing a small, mischievous incident from his life. 

Just like all of us have stories to share, even Rajkummar had one from his early days.

When Rao appeared on an EIC vs Bollywood episode, he revealed that he was once beaten up by a group of boys in his school. 

Rao had always wanted to be an actor, and when he took the decision, he left behind his life as a troublemaker.

He was in class 11th when he saw a girl playing basketball. Rao was anyway a big fan of SRK and hence this incident became a memorable one for him. 

As he witnessed this moment, he remembered a scene from Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and thought he found his soulmate, Anjali. However, he later said that she had already discovered her Aman.

He added, "I moved to this new, really modern, fancy, Blue Bells school in Gurgaon and I was a big, I'm still a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan. So I saw Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and I saw this one girl, playing basketball, same hair, and I was like 'Anjali'. I was like, 'I found her mother, I found her (imitating Shah Rukh).' And then somehow, we started dating but she had a boyfriend."

He further said that the 'Aman' was a Jat boy and he came to thrash Rao. He recalled, 25 boys from the law college had come to beat him, while Rao had become a 'saint' person by this time. 

Rajkummar said, "Now no more fighting, this is enough. I have to be an actor.' They were thrashing me, 25 boys were like, 'Take out the gun, take out the gun, shoot him, take out the gun.' My two Punjabi, cute friends were like 'Don't hit him, hit me if you want to'. The only thing I was screaming is, and trust me, it's a true story, 'Don't hit my face, I want to be an actor.'"

Rajkummar came to Bollywood with high hopes and dreams. 

After Love *** Aur Dhokha, he was seen in several movies like Gangs of Wasseypur (Part 2), Aligarh, Trapped, Newton etc. 

All of these movies were some of his best work. He also had White Tiger and Roohi this year.
