Here’s All We Know About Shah Rukh Khan’s Most Expensive Possession Worth Rs 200 Crores

Shah Rukh Khan recently claimed that his most prized possession is worth Rs 200 crore. Yes, you read that right!

Now, for people wondering what is it- we are talking about his plush sea-view mansion, Mannat, which is located at Mumbai’s Bandstand.

SRK once expressed that he always wanted to buy a bungalow for himself and his wife Gauri Khan and that this was his biggest dream.

In 2001, SRK bought the bungalow and it cost him around Rs 13 crores and today the same house is valued at Rs 200 crore.

On a radio show, SRK expressed that Mannat was his 'most expensive possession' to date and he also revealed the reason behind buying the house, which was basically to impress his mother-in-law.

When SRK first came to Mumbai, he wasn’t amongst the wealthiest actors in the initial stage of his career. He lived in a small apartment and that would upset his mother-in-law and that’s when he decided to buy Mannat, without knowing that it will become one of the biggest landmarks of Mumbai.

SRK said, "I am from Delhi and Delhiites have the concept of living in a kothi (bungalow). In Mumbai, the concept is to live in apartments, but in Delhi, even if one is not well off, they still own a small bungalow. When I came to Mumbai, I was already married and was living in a small apartment with my wife Gauri. My mother-in-law would keep saying, 'You live in such a small house.' Eventually, when I saw Mannat, it felt like Delhi wala Kothi and so, I bought it and that was the most expensive thing I bought.”

Now, SRK is one of the richest actors across the globe and is also called the King Khan of Bollywood. Clearly, good things come to those who wait...and who work hard for it.
