Getting a job is no easy task. In today’s cutthroat competition, it is even more difficult. Your qualification is simply not enough when the other candidate has 20 years of experience (was he working since birth?) and a dynamic personality. This encourages the job seekers to tell a tiny white lie here and there to land the job.

Even though the stakes are high, most people tell little lies in their job interviews. Saying “I work well under pressure,” or “I am okay with working on weekends” and the most common one is “My weakness is that I work too much.” 

Not just the interviewee, the interviewers sometimes lie too about working hours and culture and especially when they turn the applicant down by saying “there has been a change in policies”.

However, what if we could be completely honest in our interviews? Sure, we would be jobless forever. But isn’t honesty a trait to be cherished and encouraged? Well, it may not be possible to apply in real life (we need a job to pay the bills) but desis wondered how they would answer common interview questions if they could be totally and brutally honest with their potential employers.

These are some brilliant and brutal answers that every job applicant has in fact thought of before blurting out a fancy answer (lie) everytime these questions are asked. 

A lot of people also lie on their resume which is sometimes okay (if the lie is not too big) and can actually help you get the job.

But after seeing these honest answers, it seems like it is better to make up a fancy answer than being this honest in interviews too. Or, we will stay unemployed for life.
