aapki yaad aati rahi raat bhar
chaandani dil dukhati rahi raat bhar

gaah jalti huii, gaah bujhti huii
shaame gham jhilmilaati rahi raat bhar

koi khushboo badalti rahii pairahan
koi taswir gaati rahi raat bhar

phir saba saaya e shakhe gul ke talay
koi qissa sunaati rahi raat bhar

jo naa aaya usay koi zanjir e dar
har sadaa par bulaati rahii raat bhar

ek umeed se dil behelta raha
ek tamanna satati rahi raat bhar
