Comedian Munawar Faruqui is facing the brunt of people who are bashing him for his content. People feel that he insults Hindu gods and they aren’t okay with it. Yesterday, he took to Instagram and suggested that he may no more perform on stage after Bengaluru Police wrote to the organizers of his show in the city, asking them to cancel the show.

“(From) Putting me in jail for the joke I never did, to canceling my shows which have nothing problematic in it. This is unfair. This show has gained so much love from people in India irrespective of their religion. This is unfair,” wrote Munawar.

Tootne pe inki Khwahish hogi puri Sahi kehte hai, mai Sitara ban gaya hoon (I have become an excuse for their hatred. By making people laugh, I have become a support for so many. Only when I break will their wish be fulfilled. What they say is right, I have become a star)” Munawar added.
It has caused a stir on social media. People are bashing him brutally and now, they have dragged Zakir Khan who’s also a comedian, into the matter. Social media users are praising Zakir for not insulting the Hindu gods and still managing to make people laugh.
