If you're a sucker for love and belong to the millennial generation, then I suppose you will connect with the newly established Jodi-Nick & Priyanka, or as they're popularly known, 'Nickyanka'.
PeeCee is back in action on the big screen soon enough after her two-month long hiatus from the entertainment industry, where she took time away to celebrate her wedding shenanigans along with going for her honeymoon.
But little did we know the Desi girl and the vilaayati munda actually first spoke to each other on Twitter! Yes, a little piece of information that PeeCee revealed in a short teaser of the Ellen Show, where Priyanka will be appearing in the next episode, talking about her and Nick with Ellen DeGeneres.
Priyanka is seen talking about how Nick and her met and how he slid into her DMs on Twitter and told her that his friends think it's a good idea for the two of them to meet! Well, if this isn't giving hope to the men who slide into women's DMs to start a conversation, then I really don't know what is!
“He DMed me actually. So millennial of us! He DMed me on Twitter saying 'I've heard we should connect and uh... I've heard from common friends that we should meet. What do you think about that? I was like, 'just text me" Priyanka tells Ellen.

I mean it isn't surprising that a man is slipping into a woman's DMs and sending her messages that are flirtatious in nature, but what caught my attention was that even celebrities enjoy doing it, from time to time. After all, slipping into DMs is the new millennial mantra, isn't it? Maybe if Nick had said something offensive to her or showed her lewd pictures of himself, she wouldn't have really entertained him but he actually said something honest and sweet and voila, he had the girl.
So, basically, what my point is that, now that you've seen the success rate of a DM through a celebrity wedding, maybe up your DM game a bit and don't be rowdy, aggressive or shamefully lewd when you do decide to slide into a girl's DM.
Here are three things to keep in mind if you're going to message a girl on a social media platform:(1) No Lewd Content
This should go without saying, I suppose. Girls do not like receiving dick pictures. Period. Neither do they want to see your face or any other body part. It's 2019 and you could get into a lot of trouble. So maybe keep it simple?

Pick-up lines are actually passé. They were perfect in the 90s and a girl in 2019 wouldn't want to entertain them anymore. Maybe a genuine message about your intention with the girl would work perfectly well? Ps: women make fun of guys who use trashy pick-up-lines, with their other women friends.

Just like how Nick put himself out there and made a bold statement about his intentions with Priyanka, maybe you can do the same? Just don't force your intentions or your opinions on her, is all. If you like her and want to take her out on a date, then by all means, make that clear. If you're just stalking her and say a random 'hey' once in a while, you're getting no attention, whatsoever!

So yes, not every couple can be Nickyanka, but you can find a middle ground and look for your desi girl with some blatant courage and decency.
Meanwhile, PeeCee and Nick are still going strong with their family functions in the States and we're hoping to see Priyanka in Shonali Bose's 'The Sky Is Pink', co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim, rather soon.
