Although there's still more than a month to go for the first IPL match to take place in previous champion's home ground in Chennai, the two franchises decided to get on with social media savagery already.
As soon as the schedule came out, Royal Challengers Bangalore came up with this tweet:
A spicy south Indian Derby for starters - but we prefer the sweet sambar...

The 2018 season was one of the greatest for Chennai as they made a historic comeback during the seasons to qualify and eventually win the final against Shikhar Dhawan's SunRisers Hyderabad to win their third IPL trophy. What makes the victory even sweeter is the fact that the franchise was banned from the league due to match-fixing allegations and this was their year of redemption.
Not so exciting for Bengaluru though as Kohli and gang were amongst the lowest ranked teams (6th in 8 teams) and did not even qualify for the playoffs.
