Aamir Khan Salutes The Kargil War Hero Who Said He Saw 'Sarfarosh' Before Losing His Leg

Time and again I have said this that no amount of words can ever be enough to express our gratitude to our soldiers for their bravery, fearlessness, courage and selflessness. They put their lives at risk, get fatally injured and despite going through it all, always keep a huge smile on their faces and courage and pride intact in their hearts.

Aamir Khan Replies To The Kargil War Hero Who Said He Saw 'Sarfarosh' Before Losing His LegWikimedia

One such brave jawan is Major DP Singh, a Kargil War hero. Major Singh lost a leg during Operation Vijay, but his Twitter bio reads "Enjoying KargilWar wounds" with a wink. Recently, he shared an emotional post which left a lot of people emotional and in tears. One of them is Aamir Khan who got goosebumps after reading his post.

Major Singh wrote that 'Sarfarosh' was the last film he saw 20 years ago, before losing a leg. He mentioned how he saw 'Sarfarosh' in theatres back then and now he saw it on TV. "That time on both legs. Now one less. My last movie as intact before I joined unit for #OpVijay in May 1999."

Exactly 20 years ago I watched movie #Sarfarosh of @aamir_khan and same I did just now.

But

That time it was in theater.
Now on TV.

That time on both legs.
Now one less.

Major Singh, who is known as India's first Blade Runner, is hand downs one of the toughest men and we don't think we will ever see anyone braver than him.
