A Madurai School Looks Just Like A Train & We've Never Wanted To 'Go Back To School' More

A good part of our life was spent sitting through hours upon hours of lectures and senseless scribbles covering the endless pages of our notebooks.

As we sat through six long hours of cramming our brains with “quality education”, for twenty-two days a month, we often wished our classes came equipped with something “more”, something that would make our days a little more bearable at the end of the fourth hour.

After years of passing through the same gates, year after year and loitering in the same corridor, we secretly begin to crave for a change around the place we called school.

But what this school in Madurai has done for its pupils, is surely one of the best ways of ensuring children look forward to spending their time at the “temple of learning”.

Named the Madura College Higher Secondary School, it looks like a train stationed at a railway platform with tiny tots moving in and out of the coaches-cum-classrooms. The entire primary school has been designed like a train that plies between Madurai and Chennai and looks every bit like an IRCTC train.

From the markings of the train, to the details painted on the walls of the school, this school-cum-train is giving us all the feels of a passenger waiting on the platform to jump aboard the train for a ride of their lives.

The smiling faces of the young students roaming about the premises in their uniforms and wide grins only prove how happy and excited they are to be there.

People have also lauded this move and praised the initiative taken by the school management to make the space more interesting for young kids.

A wonderful theme, imagining school as vehicle to accept intake of uneducated raw state of Mind and transport them to a state of educated one.
