This Apple Watch 6 Design Is Exactly What We Need And We Want This To Be True

If you have been an Apple Watch user, you may have gotten bored with the design of the smartwatch as it has remained unchanged for years. There was an old rumour that showed off renders of the upcoming Apple Watch 6 and someone made a video featuring the Apple Watch in a different avatar.

The video was made by a YouTube account called Phone Industry and in the video, we can see the Apple Watch re-imagined as a round-faced smartwatch instead of the traditional square shape we all know. The video looks incredible as it showcases all the details that could feature on the Apple Watch sometime in the future.

If you look closer, the design of the smartwatch has a fabric-like material around the bezels and a new digital crown that doesnât really look like a crown anymore. The new digital crown design is based on recent leaks that Apple might ditch the iconic dial for a new design. Having said that, the rounded design comes with its own problems.

Due to the small footprint of the rounded case, Apple will not be able to fit in a larger battery due to which this design doesnât look feasible. Apple has been wanting to improve the battery life on the App Watch for sleep tracking features and due to this reason, we may not see a circular design anytime soon. The video claims that the Apple Watch could have 48 hours of battery life with the circular design, however we recommend you take this information with a pinch of salt. At the moment, it doesnât feel like Apple can achieve that kind of battery life especially since batteries have not advanced when it comes to efficiency.

The Apple Watch Series 5 can run for 18 hours on a single charge and the Cupertino giant plans to use microLED displays in future devices. It could fundamentally result in a more efficient design, however we can only know that once Apple actually puts the new display to test on a smartwatch this year.
