India is a melting pot of culture and the synergy of art and cinema that this country radiates is seldom matched by any other country. While Bollywood is globally recognised as a huge source of mass entertainment, the entertainment industry in South India is also a biggie and is sometimes, in fact, known to be more professional and streamlined where work is concerned. 

South Indian movie stars are perceived to be humble and real for their fans and hence the ever-growing appetite for making more movies is understandable.

1. Taapsee Pannu

2. Rakul Preet Singh

Another Punjabi from Delhi whoâs made her mark in South Indian movie industry before she sets hears ablaze in Bollywood as well. she made her Telugu and Tamil debut in the same year before entering Bollywood in 2014. Rakul is also the brand ambassador of the Telangana government which explains her popularity. 

3. Kainaat Arora

This Punjabi gorgeous lady hails from Saharanpur in UP and besides acting in a few Tamil and Telugu movies, she has also lent her voice to a few Malayalam songs. 

4. Wamiqa Gabbi

She has been a known name in the Punjabi industry and now sheâs also been taking up work down South since 2016 as well. 

5. Sonam Bajwa

She needs no introduction and even if you have not watched Punjabi movies, chances are you still follow this true Punjabi beauty on social media. Sonam made her Tamil debut in 2014 and post that after a hiatus, she was back in 2016. She is currently shooting two projects which include a Telugu movie and a Tamil project as well.
