Indian Cricket Fans Dull Days Are Over As Dhoni To Start IPL Training From March 2

It is time for the fans of the Indian cricket team to finally forget about the awful run that Virat Kohli and the rest of the Men in Blue are going through in New Zealand, as news of Mahendra Singh Dhoni returning to the pitch, has finally come out.

Dhoni, who has not played a single game of cricket for the national team, his city or any other club ever since Indiaâs loss to New Zealand in the semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2019, will reportedly start practising for the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League with the rest of his Chennai Super Kings teammates from next week.

According to The Times of India, the former Indian captain is set to start his training for the upcoming season of the Indian T20 league from March 2, while CSK CEO S K Viswanathan has announced that the full preparatory camp for the franchise will commence from March 19.

The Ranchi cricketer is expected to start getting refamiliarised with the ground with some of his former Team India players namely, Ambati Rayudu and Suresh Raina from next Monday onwards, before going on yet another break ahead of the official CSK camp.

After the exciting final contest between Dhoniâs CSK and Rohit Sharmaâs Mumbai Indians, which went on till the final delivery of the tournament, the new season is scheduled to open with the same match-up.

Dhoniâs unwillingness to return to the national team and postpone his comeback month after month, led to many Indian fans getting frustrated. Meanwhile, his replacement as the wicket-keeper, Rishabh Pantâs constant screwups, only made them miss him more.

Now, after being absent from the cricket scene for over half a year, Dhoni is finally returning to the game of bat and ball and even though it is not on an international level, it should still count for something.
