Netflix Is Testing A New Feature For People Who Are Confused & Just Don't Know What To Watch

Have you found yourself sitting in front of your TV or laptop, indecisively scrolling on Netflix figuring out what to watch? Well, you are not alone and it looks like Netflix wants to help.

The video streaming service is currently testing a new feature that'll help you, well, find some content to watch.

That's right. Netflix is testing a new 'Shuffle Play' button, with which it hopes to help people watch something instead of just scrolling through the content and pass out.

Some users have reported that they're seeing this new 'Shuffle Play' button on their account. It seems to be appearing on Netflix TV app's user profile screen, right beneath their display image and name.

It's also showing up in the left-side menu bar for some users inside their profile.

OMG i just realized Netflix added a "play something" feature DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG I'VE WAITED FOR THIS

It's not called Shuffle Play, though. Netflix is planning to call it the 'Play Something' button, which seems appropriate.

We think it's a great addition to the pool of features that Netflix has added over the years to make our experience better on the platform.

Obviously, letting Netflix decide what to watch will not yield the best results but, at least, you won't blame yourself or your friends for recommending a bad show or a movie. It's on the algorithm.

But in all honestly, the algorithm probably knows you better than your friends, when it comes to what you like to watch, so there's a good chance that it'll play something that you like.

There’s a new Netflix feature called Shuffle Play that picks a show for you and starts it.

I’m on show 15 that I immediately stopped and my night looks to be seeing what the Netflix gods will pick next.

This feature isn't available for all. You may or may not see this particular feature on your profile. But we really hope they finish testing it and push it for all because it's definitely going to come in handy.
