This year has been way too hard for everyone and we all need something to reminisce about the good old days. And, what better way to do that than a movie about everyone's favourite childhood frenemies.

The first trailer of the Tom and Jerry movie is here feels so nostalgic and familiar, yet new and exciting. 

The live-action movie about the iconic duo, mixed with animation, is the kind of wholesome content we all desperately need to just feel something good and happy right now.

The trailer starts on a false positive note about how they're starting over as friends but honestly, they are the best 'enemies' and nothing can change that. 

The story follows both of them, as they move to the big city where Jerry makes a home in a fancy hotel.

Of course, Tom is the one asked to exterminate the mouse living in the hotel and thus begins the legendary cat and mouse fight we're so used to.

While the music and the setting in the trailer is not something we associate with this duo, it's still worth a shot to see how the story of Tom and Jerry plays out.

Moreover, along with the animated stars, the movie also has Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña, and Ken Jeong in the leading roles. 

Looking at the trailer, you can easily tell it's going to be so nostalgic and refreshing, we're all going to love it.

And, let's just thank our stars they didn't go down the Cats movie way for Tom and Jerry, we've had enough of realistic cats for a lifetime.

It's pretty interesting.

This movie will be worth seeing just for the animation alone. They nailed that stylized look, and for the most part, it looks well-integrated. Plus, I'm just a sucker for old-fashioned cartoony visual gags.
