OnePlus Phones Are Getting A Cool New Feature To Show How Many Times We Unlock Our Phones

One of the coolest features of the OnePlus phones is the Always On Display (AOD) that lets users glance at useful info without unlocking the phone. We think all smartphones with an AMOLED panel should make use of this. It saves a lot of time and helps us get all the info quickly.

To make them more useful OnePlus is making a useful addition with the upcoming OxygenOS 11 update. The AOD will soon also show you how many times you've unlocked your phone. This info will be shown on the main 'Always-On Display' along with a slick animation.

Here, check it out -

As useful as it can be, we know AOD can add distractions. So for OxygenOS 11, we added this option: an AOD that shows you how often you unlock your phone, so you have more control over your digital wellbeing. #NoDetailIsTooSmall pic.twitter.com/HYqWsukIFi

As you can see, the same was confirmed by Pete Lau in a tweet. He noted how this feature can help you have more control over your digital wellbeing. You can also see the animation in the tweet. It'll show you how many times you've unlocked the phone with a timestamp.

Your usual set of notification icons and the battery percentage will still be shown but they've now been pushed below to make room for this new animation.

We always appreciate OnePlus for adding new features to its phones. These kinds of digital wellbeing features are always welcome and we'd to see some more innovative features in the future with the introduction of the new phones.
